There are so many benefits of being a part of a caring Home group. Some groups meet weekly, while others meet every other week, either in members' homes, offices, or church.

Here are some thoughts about Home Groups:

"Home Group for us is a powerhouse that we plug in to; a place for edification, encouragement, extending our understanding, deepening relationships, having fun and fellowship (& food). It's where we begin to make the Word a part of us. We couldn't imagine life without it!" Graham and Debbie

"I am glad to be a part of a Home Group where we care and pray for one another. We discuss the Bible and how it applies to our daily living. It is truly a place where we can feel safe to be ourselves, and to witness God's answers to prayers."Kim

"As a couple, we have joined our current home group for 5 months. This group has been a great prayer support and encouragement to us especially during the difficult times in life. The bible study gives us solid spiritual food, and the social gatherings enable us to share our joys and tears. We look forward to each meeting so much. What a wonderful blessing from the Lord!" - Rudi and Gretha

If you are open to lead a group, join a group, or open your home/office to host a group, please contact us ;  or visit us at the Home Group booth on Sundays.

THE IMPORTANCE OF HOME GROUPS

"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24-25

You grow best when you're among Christian friends. That's why at ECC we encourage everyone to get connected to a Home Group. It's in these Home Groups that people experience church at a more personal level.

These groups provide safe places where people worship God, love one another, grow in Christ-likeness, and use their gifts to reach out to a hurting world. Most groups will start by worshipping together, then spend time studying God's word. Groups will vary in their selection of study materials, reflecting the needs of the group. Groups will enjoy a time of social fellowship with one another, pray with and for one another, and at times reach out to the community.

We have English & Cantonese speaking groups, young working professional groups, a university student group, and intergenerational groups (bring your little people) and the list goes on & on.
