INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Dear Father in heaven, holy be Your Name,

We come before you this day mindful of the sin burdens that we carry. We have let you down day after day. We have turned our backs on your gentle leading and have insisted on doing things our way, even when we know we are without justification for doing so. Lead us to confess our sins so that we may taste your forgiveness. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, that you are faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Hear our confession, O LORD, and forgive our sin.

You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things and by your will they existed and were created. To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever.

Thank you for having surrounded us with your hedge of protection. We are mindful of how you have protected our church family through the many trials during the 19 months. We give you thanks for all the undeserved mercies with which you have and continue to bless us. You are our hiding place, our rock, and the author of our salvation. Our words cannot fully express our gratitude for all of your material and spiritual blessings.

Now hear our petitions, O LORD, for we offer them in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

We pray for the sick among us. For favorable test results and news of a completed healing. You are the Great Physician and there is no illness or injury that you cannot heal.

We pray for peace in our beloved Hong Kong. Lead those public officials and those who rule over us and those in opposition to the same point: the foot of the Cross; the only place where genuine healing may take place. Put a hedge of protection around your church here in Hong Kong; protect your people and preserve their Gospel witness. Use the many uncertainties of daily living to bring the scared and the suffering to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We pray for our children and their teachers. Enable them to achieve a balance that will permit the educational process to move forward without further disruption.

Lastly, we pray for the ministries of our church. Give our leadership wisdom, discernment, and a sense of organizational excellence as they plan for the future. Hear us for Jesus’ sake. AMEN.
