Pastor's Corner - December 29, 2020

The year 2020 has been a year like none other. Together we have weathered the protests, the National Security Law, and the plague. As  stormy waves of uncertainty have washed over us, we all have been  affected by Hong Kong’s faltering economy and being isolated one from another. These same waves have eroded and undermined our trust in once  familiar governmental and non-governmental institutions.

Where can we go? To whom can we turn? In the prophet Isaiah’s season of turmoil the Lord our God spoke these words of encouragement: (Isaiah 45: 22) “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” Therefore, in the coming year let us turn in faith, with genuine expectancy, and confident in the assurance of God’s Word that --- as the apostle Paul reminds us --- “. . . there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8: 1). So as you move forward into the year 2021, do so boldly and with the confidence born of knowing that in Christ all things are possible. May God bless and protect you in the coming year.

Soli Deo Gloria
